Ok, here we go… my first 365 project.

I’ve had this somewhat romantic ideal attached to this kind of project, making it very hard to actually get started. But myself, and 2 other designers from work, are setting out on this epic voyage together. It’ll be nice to have the support system (as well as the higher stakes) to help push me along. I’m fairly excited knowing that there is no way I can’t have improved by the end of this.

G O A L

To complete ONE sketch every day for the next year. That’s right, three hundred and sixty five days (this isn’t a leap year is it?). Notice I said sketch… this is crucial. A sketch has much less pressure attached to it, therefore much more likely to actually happen.

I’ll be chronicling this journey via Flickr so I don’t flood my blog with sketches, and water down the rare thoughts I actually have. If you’d like to stay updated, I’ll also be broadcasting via twitter, so follow me there.

S T A K E S

To help keep “motivated,” the three of us have decided to ante up and attache an incentive. Nothing fancy really, just a little reminder. If you don’t complete your sketch for the day, you buy everyone else some nourishment. Somewhere in the coffee/fruit/candy/lunch arena.
